In 2010 the little town of Copperopolis celebrated its 150th anniversary.

To give you a glimpse into the staggering amount of years that have passed since Copperopolis began, here a a few interesting things that occured 150 years ago in 1860:
Abraham Lincoln becomes the 16th President of the United States.
The Pony Express made its first run.
The British Open is played for the first time, won by Willie Park.
World first iron hulled battleship, British HMS warrior, is launched.
Charles Dickens publishes first copy of 'Great Expectations.'
Souh Carolina secedes from the United States Union.

Now Copperopolis is making there own 'history to be remembered' with a commemorative brick wall located in the Copperopolis Historic Plaza on Main Street, in the historic district.

Each brick is engraved with a personal message, thought, or saying, that will withstand the test of time, leaving your message for generations to come.
